OUR HISTORY
When you were born and grown up in a land surrounded by the sea, you cannot help but assimilate the scents, sounds and flavors of it and of the sea breeze. When this land is Sicily, wherever you go, you cannot miss to take with you its history, its culture, its customs and all that the Mediterranean has given it. The name 'Mare Nostrum' is a tribute to the Mediterranean and to all the lands that overlook it, to their traditions and their history; 'Seafood' a drop of universality, of modernity, of innovation while respecting tradition. All this can only be summarized by two terms: one Latin and one English. You lovers of the sea, of good food, of being together, values that those who go by sea know well, are welcome to this ideal Homeric island in the Mediterranean.
OUR INGREDIENTS
All the ingredients we use in our restaurant are local ingredients, where we can, at zero kilometer. We fill the kitchen pantry as we do with the home one, with daily deliveries to always have fresh ingredients every day; every morning we choose our catch based on what the sea has given to man.
In addition to the dishes on the menu, we also offer special dishes of the day inspired by the ingredients of the season, the climate and our mood. We are always looking for new sources of ideas and inspiration and when we travel (which we like to do) we try to bring home new flavors and new culinary discoveries that we revisit and offer to our guests.
This restaurant is a friend of the sea and has been selected and awarded by FRIEND OF THE SEA as an eco-sustainable business; here we serve fish products that respect the marine environment, with a certified supply chain from fishing to distribution.
